Silent Data [Oracle] offers a privacy focused oracle solution by leveraging Intel SGX to guarantee secure handling of sensitive API keys and private data whilst providing reliable data and sources to smart contracts.

This effectively brings every web2 API to the Polygon blockchain enabling smart contracts to retrieve attestations from established KYC/KYB/KYT providers, AML/credit score services, open banking or payment processors. Opening up a new set of opportunities for verifiable credentials, real world assets, security tokenisation platforms and compliance lead DeFi solutions.

Applied Blockchain announces the launch of Silent Data [Oracle] on Polygon, an oracle solution focused on enhancing privacy through the use of confidential computing technology. This solution guarantees the protection of API keys and sensitive data, unlocking a new realm of use cases by securely connecting to private data sources.

Current oracle designs, such as decentralised oracle networks, are reliable for public data but are not well suited for connecting to sensitive data sources. This is due to the requirement to provide confidential credentials, commonly known as secrets, to a decentralised network of nodes. These secrets become visible to each node during their reassembly/decryption processes. If a node in the network is compromised, this visibility poses a significant security risk when accessing private sources.

Silent Data [Oracle] mitigates this security risk by utilising Intel SGX to create an encrypted area of memory on the CPU, known as an enclave. Secrets are stored and managed within this enclave, ensuring even the Silent Data platform host cannot access nor view the secrets or data returned from APIs. Attestations against the data are provided directly by the enclave protecting against the manipulation of results.

The security claims of Silent Data [Oracle] have been audited and certified by Kudelski, confirming that even Silent Data employees and servers cannot access nor manipulate information within the enclave.
Key Features of Silent Data [Oracle] on Polygon:
- Confidential Computing: Leverages Intel SGX to create a secure computing environment, preventing result manipulation.
- Secrets Management: End-to-end encryption within the enclave, providing absolute privacy when handling Secrets and data.
- Silent Data Proof Certificates: On-chain data validation without exposing sensitive information, including attesting properties of data without revealing the underlying data.
- Seamless/Effortless Polygon Integration: Simple code free wizard for feeding data into smart contracts.
- Predictable Pricing: Pay in USDC at a fixed rate without exposure to token value fluctuation.

"We're proud to introduce Silent Data [Oracle] on Polygon, bringing a new level of data privacy and security to one of the fastest-growing blockchain networks," says Andrew Campbell, Head of Product at Applied Blockchain. "This launch marks a significant milestone in our mission to connect blockchains to real world value and changes the game for permissioned DeFi and verifiable credentials."

This advancement opens new possibilities for decentralised finance (DeFi) and other smart contract applications that require access to private off-chain data.

Silent Data [Oracle] is now available for integration on Polygon. Developers and companies interested in leveraging Silent Data [Oracle] for their Polygon-based projects can find more information and get started at silentdata.com.
